I coach tackle football for 5 and 6 year olds. We have been practicing 6 days a week for the last two weeks and I wanted to do something fun just a break. Do you guys know any fun games/drills for this age group?

Can I ask what state this is? I'm not familiar with tackle football for this age, or practicing for 6 days a week.

We practice 6 days a week for the first three weeks and then 3 days a week once the season starts

Create a "field day" for them. If you want to incorporate football, then add football events. If not, then just let them "be kids". You can just google elementary ,middle school, or high school field days and get ideas from various schools.

5 and 6 year olds, 6 days a week? No wonder this country is out of control.

5 and 6 year olds, 6 days a week? No wonder this country is out of control. For three weeks! That's more time than we spend with our guys. Sounds a bit crazy to me. Kids that young should not be playing football if you ask me and certainly not spending that much time on it if they do!

Wow. Texas is nuts. But, a fun thing I do with my freshmen is I let skill guys be OL and OL be skills. They really get a kick out of "living the dream".
