we have a theme of the week
character leadership work ethic etc
we talk about each theme a little during the day, at the end of the workout, and break off every set with the word
just try and keep it in their minds as much as possible

Our mascot is the Crusaders. We hve found some great themes on knights, the Crusades (pretty obvious) and the like. One of the famous literary quotes from the annals of the Crusades - a made famous in a speech by Winston Churchill was a theme of ours this year.
Back in the year 1095, "Arm Yourself, and Be Men of Valor" was a theme used to get knights and others to commit to going to the Holy Land. Churchill used it again in WWII for the same type of rallying. We used it, along with the full story of the Crusades, as a combination recruiting tool, weight room (Arm) and conditioning (valor) for our guys. It was one of more popular themes.
