I noticed the Crowther Motion tackler and was wondering if anyone has had any experience using it in their program? It seems like a good concept eliminating player to player contact but giving the player a moving target to practice tackling to the ground. What are the pro's/con's for those of you that have one?? raecrowther.com/product/motion-tackler/

Don't have one, so can't comment with personal experience. Seems like it would slow MANY drills down to a snails pace--having to reset after each drill. Also, (and again, NOT speaking from experience--just from the video) it seems that in order to take the target to the ground, some awkward circling takes place, particularly from the more head on approaches. Plus... who is going to operate it? The coach running the drill?
How many do you have to buy? Does it benefit yourself to "eliminate player to player contact" for one drill, while 5 other groups are hitting humans? Do you need one per position group? If you two platoon, do you have to buy 6 or 7???
Just doesn't seem too useful or practical

Seems like it would be a waste of time with only 1 player being able to tackle at a time.
