Sorry if this was posted already but I did not see it.
I think its great that he did this and I know his players will appreciate it. I sure hope they don't find out that one of the coaches DID say that about his QB. I also wish he did not say he hopes one day her (the reporter) will have a kid who gets made fun of. I think it would have been better if he said he hopes she never has to go through that...but I know the point he was making was that one day she will realize what a B&%#h she was...

Obviously, he won a lot of points from his players. But, I read the article myself and didn't find it THAT inflammatory. I feel he could have handled the matter privately. As another B12 coach somewhat famously said, "if you don't like it, go play intramurals, brother!"

I'll add, though, that obviously his players and team are his priority. If he felt he needed to do this as a rallying point, more power to him.
