You have to remember Bellevue is a very rich area that any kid with talent transfers to go play football there. Just like Tumwater High School of the 80-90s were a national powerhouse because of the same things that happen in college with "recruiting" and all that.
I have been to many Bellevue games I love the way they play. when they beat De La Salle and Long Beach Polly you could see how out matched in talent they were but the way they run their Wing T is the way is was ment to be ran

"A school district investigation into longstanding rumors of recruiting by the Bellevue High School football program has turned up no concrete evidence of violations. But administrators are concerned about a revelation that boosters are paying the head coach $55,000 a year."
Sounds like they have a little bit of capital to work with in that booster club.

Thats no secret. like 5-6 years ago there was an article in the paper about how the HC got 65,000 that year by the boosters.

Haha next. Wingtol that is old news the WIAA pasted a rule dealing with that issue in that the school board must vote on any pay from boosters. The accusations are always going to be around successful programs, I would bet dollar to donuts that the same or more over the top stuff goes on in Texas

I read an article how the year after they beat DLS, rumors were saying the HC was going to leave to go coach college so they gave him an additional 55k on top of his normal 55k per year from the boosters

I know they are in a pretty affluent area and have lots to work with was basically the point of posting that. Years ago I believe Massilon in Ohio use to raffle off a house as their fund raiser.

Our boosters have given the football program $700 over the four years I've been here. The March before my first year here they bought us two used squat racks ($250 each) and last fall they gave every sport in the district a $200 check. Outside that, I think their main purpose in life is to prevent me from making money.

Well, what can you do about it? You can't legislate equality.

Well, what can you do about it? You can't legislate equality. Your right fantom. Even in Minnesota where State Government tries to get involved in too much, there is nothing they can do about booster clubs and the amount of money they are raising for their schools and programs.

Of course, here in Virginia we have the perfect answer about the private schools- they compete in a separate league from the public schools.

I wish we did this here in CA The private schools just have too many advantages over the public schools
