I just heard a talking head on ESPN who quoted a youth coach who said that he always drafted the kid with the best looking mom. His reasoning was that the best looking mom was probably a cheerleader and she probably married the QB. Thoughts?

Humourous as the tale may be, I don't think the theory holds water

I have been with coaches who have drafted a kid because he has best looking mom, but not for the reason that coach is saying why. Its been where it's the 16th or 17th pick and trying to decided between Little Johnny and Little Jimmy and they are both equally not talented, so the pick come down to who has the hottest mom! Sad but true. With that being said, that really has only happens at are lower weight(younger kids) classes not at are upper(older kids) weight classes

I know a number of youth hockey coaches who will openly admit that they draft the kid whose parents are least likely to be a pain in the bum.
