I've gone back and forth on this issue, but I've always been FOR anyone playing football....and ANYTHING that promotes the sport. However, coaching an adult women's team, testing our roster (some of the more athletic / fast roster in the league)........ 40 times were between 6.0 - 8.0 (did a pro agility, too, to verify these times)Not exactly NFL combine ready, yo. Thankfully, that speed is faster than most of our competition.

New Rockford is about 2 and 1/2 hours southwest of you, I think. It is 40 miles south of Devils Lake.

We have had exactly 3 girls I think who may have been capable of playing football here. The rest, I am sorry to say, would not have been able to take the physical punishment of hitting. We have several who could have handled everything else we could throw at them, but adding the pads, they would not make it.
I too would be willing to coach a HS girls team if it did not conflict with the boys season. To me football is football, and I would enjoy exposing HS girls to what the game is all about. Our girls would field a very nice team vs. other girls. We have all the ingredients to have a good HS girls football team, speed, size, desire, work ethic etc. It shows, as our HS volleyball team is outstanding.
