Coaches...What are some of your program's best Traditions? I figured I'd share several of ours with you. Perhaps some might inspire you to start your own, or adopt some of the following in the attached document:

Very impressive. I take it that you're at a pretty big school?

Eat at the local restaurant, the kids do not say a word on game day. We are given more respect for this than anything we do. Turn the lights off with the music rocking prior to coming out of the field house. We only wear gear that is given out. Walk in the stadium side by side through the crowd and hit the field running. Our kids love this. If behind people line up at to fire them up. Pray before every game. Players do not wear earrings during the school day period. We still have hair rules. Watch film with the booster club on Mon. nights. Action photos of the prior year in the weight room. Each playoff teams picture hangs in the field house. If you did not make the playoffs your not on the wall. Award winners are on a big plaque in the field house. Our banquet has become a big deal. Highlight film, plaques, dvd of all pictures, decorated with pictures from past teams, action shots from the past year, letters and pins, catered meal for free, and we do not ask anything from the parents. Booster club gives out a scholarship each year to a male and female athlete. The male must play football and it base on need. We only buy T-shirts if we win district or better. Big cookout before a game that includes all fall athletes and support teams (band). Sr. night Old timers game. We feed all former players, cheerleaders, and band members at one of our home games. Cool deal. We like to eat! We have the Dawg House. Field House where only players and coaches are allowed. Never called the field house. We have the Dawg Pound. Cheering section that is fenced off and not a fun place for the officials. We have the Bone Yard. Never called the field. Our Sup. picks a playoff game and buys tickets for the first 100 students with posters to show up. This year the community paid for the rest. We had over 200 kids with posters at the game. Best radio announcers in the world. During a big game this year we scored on a long run and one of them hit the glass in the press box and cut his hand pretty good. People drive 20 miles to listen to them and do not know anyone in our town.
A lot of little ones.
Not all related to the players but this is who we are.
A lot of little ones.
