I have found myself back at the youth level. Not only as the 7th-8th grade coach but as director of marketing for the chapter.
This chapter folded last year because of a lack of kids. And we are, with the help of the highschool, trying to change the culture and make kids come back.
How many of you use social media (twitter, facebook etc) as a way to reach kids and parents (as well as traditional flyers, presentations, face to face meetings..etc)
Just looking for ideas. Thanks!

would it be in an adult's best interest to reach out to a pre-teen or young teen via social media? how many of these athletes actively use social media and have free/unrestricted access to it where you could have direct 'recruiting' access to them?
for parents? yes, i could see having a facebook page for your organization or a twitter account for your organization where meetings, schedules, etc. would be posted for public viewing to help spread the word about the when & what & where and/or to help raise awareness.
for kids? i'm not sure I would deem it worth the time.
