I would take one of these please. Gonna guess this could help your program out. I actually doubt it would. 80% of our team plays a winter and spring sport. That leaves the only time we would actually use one of those things being the summer or fall. Ya, it would be nice for the three or four times a year weather inconviences you, but the cost isn't worth what it would do for us.

It is all about recruiting though in Ohio!
You would think this beauty would draw them in from high and low!!

Are you the head coach? Would you honestly have time for this amongst all the other responsibilities you have as the leader of the program? Yep. I'm the HC. Got myself a part time job over the summer mowing the district's grass and working on the field. Did it for free my first year here. Do you have a full time job?

Got myself a part time job over the summer mowing the district's grass and working on the field. Did it for free my first year here. The guy who talked about the poor facilities mentioned gopher holes and such. Sounds like they needed serious work on a field that had been ignored for years. That's a symptom. I also strongly doubt that such a school system would pay a coach to work on the field in the summer.

What happens with the field during the season? I generally mow it during my lunch/prep or after practice in the evenings. Our maintenance guy paints it for games.

Do you get paid to do it during the school year? I just know how much time I would invest during the week watching additional film during my prep. I couldn't imagine being out on the game field mowing the grass during that time. To each his own I suppose.

To each his own I suppose. Not during the school day do I get paid. Sometimes, when I mow it after practice I turn it in, but not always. I kinda do a lot of stuff for free for the school, but I figure something like 80% of the clothes I wear everyday comes from them it seems like, so I figure it all evens out in the end. I'm not a film guy. I watch it once or twice on Saturday and then with the kids on Monday and then don't usually touch it until I hand it back to the opposing HC on Friday night.
