Looking for some year motto's - something that makes a statement. Do this every year and running out of ideas. Got to be able to break it down to it. Ones I've used in past
Respect Action Not Words Iron Sharpens Iron Reload

I had this kid last year who would run out of his cleats every game so for the last three games after timeouts we would do "tie your shoes" on 3.

Kind of sick here but...
As an o-lineman in college, we got a little delirious and wacky (as most good o-lines do). Our coach was the ringleader. He was as crazy as the rest of us and would always do things to keep the mindless repetitions somewhat interesting.
Starting guard passes out during a punch drill and gets shipped to the hospital. We find out later that he had testicular torsion- his nut twisted around in his sack! Horrible...
About a week later he comes hobbling out to watch practice, and we're about to go to team period so our coach brings us together. We broke it down that day on:
"1...2...3...ME NUT!!!!"
This caught on and that was our slogan for the remainder of the year.

I am thinking about this slogan for next season:
(Your mascot here) Trucking Company - We deliver!
Any ideas for graphics to tie it into football? I want to use it for our team t-shirts.

“So, as you go into battle, remember your ancestors and remember your descendants” Publius Cornelius Tacitus
We have this on our LR wall (with playoff years listed below and pictures of graduates who are playing in college on one side and our current JH team's picture on the other) and walk by it to go out on game day.
More of an every year motto than one for a particular year.

It is amazing what can be accomplished when nobody cares who gets the credit.

We are rebuilding the program where we are and hope/expect this year to be the one where we make a little playoff run, so we are considering going with "Kick the Door Down"

I saw this on a board somewhere, may have been here, so sorry if this is old news, but one of the coolest ones I've ever seen is "Fight in the Shade". Comes from the battle of Thermopylae and will be in the new movie 300 coming out this Spring. Can't remember the exact story, but if you google the Battle of Thermopylae or the quote it should come up. The story has something to do with an army being outnumbered and someone telling them that they will be fighting so many people that their arrows alone will blot out the sun. The leader of the outnumbered army replies, "then we'll fight in the shade". I thought it was cool anyway.

Sabanator, I don't know how it goes in the movie, but I teach the battle of Thermopylae and (according to the greek historians) what happened was that a messenger/scout came to the Spartans and told them that the Persians were so numerous that their arrows darkened the sun. One of the Spartan seargents replied "Good news brothers! We will be able to fight in the shade!" There's a classic example of a tough-ass positive attitude.
