Last day of camp is today and it has been a struggle getting people there, to say the least. I coach 8 man football and we have had a solid group of 7-8 kids there all week.
I am looking for some fun game ideas for the end of camp today, just for a change of pace, and to have a little fun. If anyone has any good football/team building related it would be appreciated to hear them. TIA

I have been part of a program that...
Had a karaoke night (had to pay for a local DJ)
Had a minute to win it (teams of 5-6)...google "minute to win it" to get ideas
Went swimming at the high school pool (needed to have a licensed life guard...but no extra cost)
It was more of a fund raiser, but one had a bowl-a-thon and another had a lift-a-thon...some kids like both of those things...
If you are short on time do a some sort of relay race carrying a water-melon... 40 yards down (20 yard shuffle right, flip shuffle left last 20, sprint back) 30 yards down (back pedal down and sprint back) 20 yards down (10 yard karaoke right, flip karaoke left last 10, sprint back) 10 yard down (bunny hop down and sprint back)
2 hand rugby or air force/ultimate football...
Give the winners a 20 oz. Gatorade...

hawaiian rules football is pretty popular
basically from how we play it 2 teams, forward pass legal anywhere on teh field, any can catch it, qb has to change every play, play ends when ball hits the ground or ball carrier is touched with 1 hand, 5 downs to make the field, int changes possession

I had always planned on continuing the karaoke tradition with my new program. Thankfully, I just found a guy that would do it for us for cheap. The kids had a blast doing that and I'm excited about what the characters in our new program will sing. The kids definitely had fun singing karaoke. The outgoing ones are up there multiple times, teammates dragging the shy ones up there so they came out of their shell, and guys singing duets so they weren't up there alone. Really neat to observe what takes place as the team comes together during this activity. "Minute to Win It" was fun but the return on the investment of time spent organizing and setting it up was not as high as I would have liked it to have been. No pool at the new school so that won't be a possibility. We'll still do our watermelon relays during our summer camp and at some point when practices start. Actually the local grocery store in town plans to donate them so that's outstanding.
