I know this was posted before, but, I couldn't find the exact thread.
I'm looking for a straw hat that has a pretty good sized rim and could possibly have a logo incorporated into it somehow.
Anyone have ideas?

Ok I only wear them at summer camp live in a pretty big farming community but I like the more rocker style then red neck straw hat. Do they got ones at hot topic with band logos on a band around them just take that band off and put in your teams logo on a band. Other thing I did is they had a booth at the state fair that made them with spray paint had some done up in team colors.

High jacking your thread since i have a coach clothing question.
What are those loose fitting almost nylon / wind breaker but short sleeve pull overs called ? Or where can you get them ?

Dont like the straw hats...cant wash them when they get nasty. Prefer the Boonie hat. As for the short sleeved jacket they are called anything from a cage jacket to a BP jersey...Russell makes a good one...as well as NIke and Adidas if you can get your hands on them.

I always wanted to dawn the smoky the bear hat USMC DI's wear but it is illegal for me to do so. Still, I would be fun when we wake them up with a bull horn for breakfast at 5:45.

Anybody ever had other coaches on staff give you {censored} about your big hat? I got so much hell for my boonie hat during camp last year. One guy came to the second day with a gardening trowel and grandma sunglasses for me.
Of course, on day 5 I was the only one without a nasty sunburn...

Yea like I said only time I wear them is at a summer camp were most of the 15 teams have coaches that have worked together at some point. The whole fun of it is who can come up with the worst hat.

Nobody makes fun of the military style boonie hat I wear. It is hot here in Texas. To many old timers who have to have their ears whittled on by the doctor to remove those sun spots for me to care. Most of our staff has one of some shade of camo that we wear during August practice.

Boonie's are pretty much dress code where I'm at. The Texas sun is deadly and the boonie is the best way to avoid it!

When our guys started wearing straw hats and boonies I showed up wearing a Chinese coolie hat. Does that count?

I wear a suit and a trilby on the sidelines, trenchcoat in the rain, overcoat in winter. Does that count? Only for games, obviously. I'm actually probably the grimiest-looking coach at practice with my trusty ND ballcap.
