We don't have spring ball in PA and were talking about it lastnight at our summer workout. Our AD asked a question I never thought of. How does it all work out with equipment? Do you have to send it back for re-conditioning again when you are done with spring ball like you do at the end of the season or is it still good for the season after spring ball?
Just something we were currious about thanks

We send our helmets to be reconditioned after spring ball. We get them back before the start of the season.

Us too, always send it out during the summer.. its good for that "year"
another food for thought that a buddy of mine made the other day..
Not that anyone would do this.. but technically, at least here, there is no rule that says your outgoing seniors couldnt play in your spring game.. they are still eligible for that year.. pretty weird to me..

We send our stuff out for reconditioning after January so we can issue "clean" gear for spring. Our spring season turns out to be about 16 practices (3 of which are helmets and shorts) and then our spring game. The kids keep their gear in their school locker over the summer so we don't have to re-issue everything for 2 a days.
As far as outgoing seniors playing in the spring game, if you try that in Florida, you're going to get your butt fired!

Yea Im sure it wouldnt be looked upon very well.. but here in Louisiana there are no rules against it..
The reason it came up.. my friend just got a new job and they only had around 20 kids out for spring ball.. He jokingly stated that he should allow the seniors to come back out and practice so they could at least have a team scrimmage..
