Coaches,
I am assisting with the process of reorganizing a booster club at my high school for the football. I am seeking input on major problems, issues, and concerns that you may have experienced with your booster/sppt groups.
Basically, I want to learn from the coaching fraternity what to do/not do as it relates to running a successful booster club.
Thanks in advance
Coach Carter

We have had great success with our booster club being ran by ex-players parents. It solves many problems!!

I have noticed that booster clubs have no problem finding things to spend money on... but may not want to raise as much!
Just make sure that they are on board with what YOUR goals are for the program.

I find it's a lot easier to have booster clubs get you specific things (sleds, equipment, etc) rather than asking for a certain amount of money. That probably doesn't help much with organizing a club though....I got nothing for that.

I agree with the previous post-look into requiring all coaches to create a specific written request. Requesting money without specifics is asking for trouble.
