Coaches, how many of you interview your graduating seniors? What kind of questions do you ask? What have been your experiences with this? Good/ bad/ waste of time? What is something positive you have gotten from the experience?

We did something similar to what you are asking the past season, but not just for Seniors.
We had the entire Varsity team fill out a questionair about each coach on staff.
I believe there were 10ish questions.
Questions where stuff like ....Rate Coach _______ for his knowledge of his specific position coached. ....Rate Coach ________ for his practice organization
Even had questions about how we were as people. Above all else we want to be good role models to our players. ....Do you believe Coach _________ cares about you as a person, not just as a player.
Then we left room at the bottom for Positive and Negative comments.
I really felt it was beneficial. If you have a hall of fame coach on your staff but the players dont respect him and think he's a dumb@$$ then he might need to change how he interacts with his players.
As a staff we all felt it helped our program

We do something like that. We have the kids evaluate us as coaches and we can see where we stand and we do take it pretty serious on what they say about us.
