Not to sound like a VH1 fashion show, but we will be ordering new uniforms at the end of our season.
What brand do you use?
Do you like them?
Also, the style these days seems to be the tight fitting jerseys. Is this a particular cut or style of jersey?
Thanks for any help!

You can try Football America (www.footballamerica.com) they have all the major brands, Nike, Addias, Reebok, Champion.
What level are you looking for?
We use whatever company we can get the best price from...money is a huge issue. For us, the company that fits what we are looking for is Don Alleson.
We (7th/8th Graders) have never had any problems. The uniforms hold up real well. We use jerseys with Lycra in the sleeves, and in the yokes, which helps to keep the jersey tight on the the pads and tight on the body/arms.

best uniforms made, in my experience - Sportsbelle. Johnny Macs Sporting Goods, 1-800-962-8347, and they can point you in the right direction on this. Ask for Mike Furrer, or Melissa Grace, and they will get you going. Tell them Darin Slack said to call. They last a long time and retain their appearance. I have had tremendous success with my set, and have had a lot of experience with teams when I was selling, that still use them 5 -7 years after purchase and they still look good. You have to order early, January, early Feb, to get the best discounts, but definitely the most bang for your buck. Russell makes a good uniform and Johnny Macs has special pricing available, just don't get caught up with their fancy material uniforms, get something that will last. Tricot mesh, fitted with lycra inserts, etc. Their are new rules coming for the Away jersey(White, Penn State like look), keep that in mind. Reebok makes a good one, but pricey. Rawlings has the best value for the money, but you get what you pay for. Nike is made by Powers, and they make a good one, but you have to get in early, but there stuff is pretty basic. Adidas is made by Betlin, and that is a good uniform company. But selection is limited as they have only been in it a little while. Just don't be enamored by the label of Nike or Adidas, etc. They don't make their own stuff. Sportsbelle is an in-house manufacturer and they do their own stuff. I don't sell anymore, but if I were, it is all I sell, it is just proven stuff, to me and the guys I sold to.

I got some Riddell jersey's 2 years ago, they have been alright. The one thing that was real nice was that they reconidtioned them the 1st year at no cost, really cleaned them up well.

Harv-al, they look real sharp and were pretty cheap.

I have always really liked Russell. High quality, wear well, moderately priced.
This year we bought Riddell so we could save $9 a jersey. Big mistake. Material and sizing not the same, don't wash the same (our laundry lady hates 'em -- HATES 'EM!) If we buy Riddell again I'll have to wash 'em myself. Plus they bothered our QB because they didn't fit the same as our Russell (home) set.

Well we bought new home and away sets of uniforms. We actually bought Riddell white jersey's. THey did pretty good and the price was not bad. Only problem with them was the sizing was a little bit off. We are a middle school and our high school was nice enough to buy us Russell balck jersey's. They did great, they were a little bit more basic than the riddell was though no lycra. We bought RIVAL pants. They look great and are very good quality, the only problem I have with them is they do not stretch very much. Some Of my big guys had a hard time getting into a large. THe pants we had before stretched much better. If money is an issue look at the RIVAL line of uniforms they are very good quality, and look great. The only down is they have a very limited amount of options with the uniforms but you will not get a bigger bang for your buck.

We have the same issue with the Rival pants. They look great and wear well, but the big guys struggle a bit. Anyone who wears more than an XL needs to size up a notch...

We went with DeLong (out of Iowa) this season. Great jerseys, but possibly the best football pants I've ever seen.

We have used Russell for a few years and they have been pretty good. However this year we are going with a new company out of Florida called Fergo. Their website says they are the official uniform supplier for the FHSAA and the NAIA. You can find them at fergoathletics.com They are giving us a very attractive deal to try them out. I'll let you know what we think.

We bought Nike two years ago and they have held up well. We got in on a deal where however many jerseys you bought, you received as many Nike brand underarmour and 18 coaching polos. Expensive, but again, have held up well.

How do you go about determining numbers, sizes, and quantities? Assuming you can't purchase 99 jerseys (1-99), how do you go about picking the numbers and overall quantity? We typically keep 30-34 players on varsity, with a total of 44 jerseys for new players at playoff.
How long do you plan on keeping the jerseys as this plays into replacing them over time. One school I know of goes less expensive as they plan on replacing (moving them to the JV's and then to FR.) them every 2 years and don't expect to keep the same style for very long or for the jerseys to last long.
Also, do you allow the Sr's to purchase/keep their jerseys?

Expensive, but again, have held up well. We had the same deal with Nike this year. We got 3 sets of jerseys and pants. Plus, the free Nike underarmour in two sets of colors. I don't think we got the free coaching polos though. I didn't do the ordering so I don't know how expensive they were, but I would imagine they are at the higher end of uniform costs just because they were Nike. However, they do look great and having that extra third set should extend the life of them all!

Does anyone use Ripon(Sand-knit)? Ripon makes the Reebok NFL jersey. The high end stuff is good. Heard the lower stuff was good. Borrowed a pro jersey(reebok) for a school function. Had a chance to really look over it. Good stuff. Fit was awesome. Had a 2xl and is was not loose. If I had the money I would consider them.

We use russell. I would not order a XL or XXl in those jerseys, Large is the biggest. Maybe one XL. I believe the tighter the better. The only thing I would change is using the OL sleeves. I was in college when those came out. Best thing beside lycra to happen to a FB jersey. As far as numbers, I would space them out and split them by 60/40 backs to line.

If you are in Texas or in a surrounding state, Call Team Sports of Texas and ask fr Mark Goodman. He is able to carry the majors brands and can give a good price. Be ready for Nike to be In the neighborhood of $100 per jersey. you get what you pay for. Talked to some College EM's and they really like the Nike. Heck it is free to them. But, Nike puts a quality product on the field in the modified/pro line.
Sorry so many posts to say what I want, Mind works in spurts. I may come up with something else in a minute.

I had looked at purchasing them a few years back but the cost was a little more than I wanted to pay. I know that you could not destroy the Sand-Knit jersey and was wondering if they were close to that quality.

We did the nike jersey this year with the free underarmour, the jerseys look sharp, but we had a lot of jerseys that got torn. I just think more than usual and the funny thing is, it was are white jersey that had all the problems. After three road games we had 8 or 9 ripped jerseys.
