As some of you guys know, I try to get all my coaching tools done up in excel or word, and share with everyone... Here is my new work... A spreadsheet that calculates percentages of attendance for a full 19 week off-season. It's fairly straightforward, and anyone who has my stat-sheets that automatically update, it is set up the same way. Try it out, and if you run into any snags please let me know and I'll be sure to fix them and get you a fixed copy ASAP! Hope it helps! cqmiller's offseason rollsheet

do you mind explaining your point system for the file.. 10 points for attending? 5 for being there but not practicing? or what? Edit: ups.. forgot to say thank you very much for sharing your stuff.. so thank you I give 10 points per day for attending on time, 5 for being late, and 0 for a no-show/leave early. (100%, 50%, 0%)... If you want to give 80% for something, then just put an 8 in there, blah, blah, blah. As long as the points possible are typed in for your grading system, it will automatically do what you type in and convert to %'s. All you gotta do is make sure you type in the individual points for the day, and the team points for the day, and the formulas will automatically update for you... The white squares are the only ones you can edit on the whole sheet... The different colored squares are locked so that people who don't know how to use the excel formatting don't mess up the formulas on accident. I will go back and make sure you are allowed to change the dates for those of you who want... Or if you need me to, I can walk you through it. The other goodies that I have uploaded so far are at this link: www.savefile.com/projects/1018184As far as tallying film grades... what are you looking for? Something that SUM's up grades from each sheet and keeps a running record? Check out my STAT SHEETS and let me know if that is the format you are looking for. It can easily be modified to say, "Film Grading" or "Jimmy missed his block" or whatever with not too much hassle.

Coach I like your football paperwork file and use your stat sheet also.
I have posted a player evaluation form that we use to grade players in the Forms section.

=AVG(click and highlight all the cells you want to average)
That is the formula for it... Just click in the box you want the average to be in, and add the formula above, and Excel will automatically change the words in the equation when you click and highlight the cells you want.

Excel is a great tool to use in coaching football. We use it for scouting, playbooks, forms, stats, databases, and many more items.
