I am having trouble finding good links for coaching shoes.
I know the Eastbay's, etc. of the world, but I am not impressed with this years line of coaching shoe.
Does anybody have a great link for a great shoe? I am not really picky...black and white turf/cross trainer type.
Help men. Thanks.

a few years ago i bought a pair of Ringor turf shoes. they lasted several years and were probably the most comfortable pair of coaching shoes I've ever had. you can find them at www.ringor.com. go to their training section and you'll find 3 pretty good options for $65 or less. btw, they make baseball and softball cleats that are designed to let you pivot on your back foot when hitting a baseball. also, I just checked and they have a closeout deal on their Diamond Ace turf shoe for $35. that is the shoe i had. find it here: www.ringor.com/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=5382

I guess it would be some kind of shoe you coach in?
I guess you could coach in a running shoe? But can you run in a coaching shoe? What is a cross training? A cross between running and walking?
Therefore, I consider a cross trainer a coaching shoe between there is really no definition for a cross training shoe...therefore I am throwing them into the category of a coaching shoe.

Wasn't this a thread earlier this summer? Something like what do you wear...? The days of the old school black Bike brand "coaching shoes" are long gone - just like those polyester coaching shorts/pants (except for certain parts of Texas Get a pair of good running shoes or cross trainers for crying out loud!

Oh yeah, they were black and white.

Coach,
I've worn out two pairs of Nike turf shoes over the past 11 years. This year I'm trying a pair of Under Armour turf shoes. They have a lot of traction. The only downside is that they have about 700 under armour logos on them! I don't see myself getting away from turf shoes for coaching. You need more traction then a cross trainer, but I don't want to be cleaning my shoes off, and taking them off, before we come into the school like our players have to. I got my directly from under armour's website. I've used eastbay in the past, sometimes you get your 10.5 size turf cleats and some times you get a 2 year old's pair or air Jordans!?

We've had 3 kids have UA cleats just rip to pieces while they were playing 7on7 this summer. I'm pretty skeptical of them myself.

I can't believe I didn't get one comment about the Polyester coaches shorts/pants from the Texas coaches... haven't seen those in years... but, hey, we even make fun of 'em, too. i only had to wear the shorts 1 year (my first). they now sell mesh shorts and the like down here so we are about caught up with the other fashion-savvy states.... actually, i really like the khaki style "fishing" shorts that under armour and columbia make. lots of pockets, breathe well, easy to maintain, wick water/sweat away well ....
