Guys,
would be fun if everybody lists their resolutions so they can check back to see if they made good on any. LOL.
My resolution;
1)Drop the 20 pounds I gained over the past six months.

To continue to do "non-football" activities during the season to add some quiet time to what could be a very consuming time of year.
This year, I played golf every other Sunday. No celphone, no talk of the X's and O's, just a few boys out swinging the sticks. Very therapeutic.

Resolutions: - Lose weight - those chocolate donuts this morning doesn't help with that one. - Start running again - It's too cold outside! - Be a better husband - can't teach an old dog, new tricks. - Get a job at that place where the guy has the time to play golf every Sunday!

1. Complete 21-24 hours toward getting my Ph.D. with a 3.5 GPA or above. 2. Spend quality time with my wife and my daughter who is due in March. 3. Possibly find a way to get back into coaching down here in SC.
Probably would have more related to FB if I weren't in school again.

I can't be too specific, but it has to do with exercise. For about a decade, from age 15 to 25 or so, I was a stud. No natural gifts, just getting my butt to the gym and putting in quality time. I did a triple body weight squat in three powerlifting weight classes. Fast forward. From about 25 until now (36), I have been a slug. I don't do jack, except occasionally make excuses. I need to get in gear before I'm 85! I know what Peyton Manning says about rock hard abs, so I won't look for that. My resolution is to start back on the path to physical fitness. I won't say "X" pounds or to run "Y" miles, but to realistically shoot for three days of meaningful exercise each week.

Lose wt, workout at least 3 days a week.
Stop drinking so much Mt. Dew and drink more water.
Learn as much as I possibly can about football (more specifically something more than just DW football)
Spend quality time with my wife during the season and also find some fellow coaches that like to fish (maybe take the wife instead and have that be some of our quallity time)

Family wise - create more time for my wife. In addition to being a great "coach's wife" shes also a Championhsip XC and TF Coach with her own elite program. I think we do a pretty good job of supporting each other but my goal is to step it up from my end.
Football wise - spend more relationship time with the players who are not in the mainstream. I always chastise my assistants for not speaking with the subs and scrubs enough. This year, I'M going to make it my mission to make sure those kids know how important they are to our team.

Trojan, that is my life to a tee.
Exercise more. I would like to be able to run for 20 minutes without stopping. I have been doing interval training on the treadmill and this has been helping a lot, but I have a long way to go.
I have always thought I were in good condition if I could run 2 miles in under 20 minutes, squat 315 for 3X10 and Bench 225 for 3X10. Kind of old school, but I feel good about myself when I can do these things and have not done it since I was under 300lbs about 5 or 6 years ago.
I would also like to get under three hundred pounds, but I am just focussed on getting from 325 to 320.
One bonus is I am only coaching one sport this year instead of three. Huge difference.

Except substitute Mt. Dew with Pepsi.

1. Manufacture more time with my wife, who is so understanding with me coaching three sports and being gone all the time.
2. Finish my second masters degree! Which I am doing on-line, and is a lot of time everyday, that I have to put on top of teaching full time and coaching full time.
3. I don't really have a weight loss goal I am in halfway good shape sense I teach in the weight room all day and I have to run up and down the court with my JV Boys basketball team. I just want to maintain getting a lift in three or four times a week.
