normally I am more cheerful but each year I find christmas to be more and more of a hassle to celebrate. I personally like thankgiving. it is really christmas without the gifts.
maybe it is because we are short on toys for tots I do not know. I just I know I can not wait for new years eve this year.
I was at the mall the other day and I saw a person run into my truck. by the it got down the parking lot they had backed up and sped off. so much for christmas cheer there. is it me or are people just ruder this time of year.
It seems chirstmas shopping has become like katrina, every peron for themselves. then I hear the other day on ebay a guy got 9100 dollars for guitar hereos part seven billion. $9100 dollars would have boughen a lot of toys for poor children.

The speculation and the date are not real firm, the day was set by the Roman Emperor Theodidus-"Natalis Invicti" the day of Martyr’s which co-incided with Saturnis, the ancient Pagan festival of winter solstices. Nonetheless it was set as the Saviors Birthday. Christmas sprit is the celebration of the birth of He, as prophecies stated would redeem us and cleanse us of our sin. The light of the Star which shined over Israel, which the three Kings followed, which the Angels said" A new King will be born, the King of prophecy and the Son of God"… Trees and Presents aside and crowded malls and the hubbub of our society...all well a good, but least let us not forget the message. "Good will onto man and all mankind, a King this day is born in Bethlehem, joyous be his praises"
Coaches forgive me; I do not mean to preach. But, we need not forget, He who gave so much for us, though his marking of Birth may be incorrect, but the message still rings true.
Gods Blessing and Merry Christmas on to you all.
crl.

Christmas season is also college football bowl season. As the ESPN commercial reminds us annually, "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Merry Christmas everyone.

I look at Christmas as 2 of the 6 weeks away from the players each year. I love our guys but I need a break from time to time.
As for gifts Internet! I never have to go out to buy anything now.

Is Santa Claus bringing anyone any coaching materials/videos/books? Yup, already got some Tim Murphy double wing game film. I believe Santa is also bringing Run and shoot videos or possibly a bill williams video membership...

If I had one wish that I could wish this holiday season, it would be that all the children to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace.
If I had two wishes I could make this holiday season, the first would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing in the spirit of harmony and peace. And the second would be for 30 million dollars a month to be given to me, tax-free in a Swiss bank account.
You know, if I had three wishes I could make this holiday season, the first, of course, would be for all the children of the world to get together and sing, the second would be for the 30 million dollars every month to me, and the third would be for encompassing power over every living being in the entire universe. And if I had four wishes that I could make this holiday season, the first would be the crap about the kids definitely, the second would be for the 30 million, the third would be for all the power, and the fourth would be to set aside one month each year to have an extended 31-day orgasm, to be brought out slowly by Jessica Alba and that model Claudia-somebody, I can't think of her name. Of course my lovely wife can come too and she's behind me one hundred percent here, I guarantee it. Wait a minute, maybe the sex thing should be the first wish, so if I made that the first wish, because it could all go boom tomorrow, then what do you got, y'know? No, no, the kids, the kids singing would be great, that would be nice. But wait a minute, who am I kidding? They're not going to be able to get all those kids together. I mean, the logistics of the thing is impossible, more trouble than it's worth!
So -- we reorganize! Here we go. First, the sex thing. We go with that. Second, the money. No, we got with the power second, then the money. And then the kids. Oh wait, oh jeez, I forgot about revenge against my enemies! Okay, I need revenge against all my enemies, they should die like pigs in hell! That would be my fourth wish. And, of course, my fifth wish would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace.
Thank you everybody and Merry Christmas. whats this have to do with football? Well that really wasn't Steve Martin, that was Vanderbilt coach, Bobby Johnson

Is Santa Claus bringing anyone any coaching materials/videos/books? I'm not asking for videos or books this year. I'm asking for two 6'2" 225 lb, 4.4 running Linebackers. I'm also asking my wife for a 6'1" Blonde chick, 36-24-36. I figure I won't get either again this year. Baaa-humbug. Be careful not to screw this wish up or you could get a 6'2" 225 blonde chic And cross dressing linebacker (which, I suppose, who cares if he runs a 4.4 right? )

I am out of coaching advice, but here is an old fail-safe recipe of mine Holiday Cookie Recipe1 cup of water 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup of sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup of brown sugar lemon juice 4 large eggs 1 cup nuts 2 cups of dried fruit 1 bottle Crown Royal - Sample the Crown Royal to check quality. - Take a large bowl, check the Crown Royal again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. - Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. - Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again. - At this point it's best to make sure the Crown Royal is still OK, try another cup.. just in case. - Turn off the mixer thingy. - Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. - Pick the frigging fruit off floor... - Mix on the turner. - If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a dewscriver. - Sample the Crown Royal to check for tonsisticity. - Next, sift two cups of salt, or something.... who giveshz a sheet. - Check the Crown Royal. - Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. - Add one table. - Add a spoon of ar, or somefink.... whatever you can find. - Greash the oven. - Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. - Don't forget to beat off the turner. - Finally, throw the bowl through the window. - Finish the bottle of Crown Royal. - Make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher. Cherry Mistmas

Santa is bringing me several coaching books and an allowance to attend 3 clinics this year! Either my wife is sick of me, she's cheating, or she is finally coming to the realization of how important offseason research is... uh oh.

Over the break: - reading my new football books
- watching every freakin' bowl game (okay, well at least a quarter or so of the terrible match ups)
- meeting with a coach to talk some football and a job (I hope)!
Merry Christmas to everyone on here!

What am I doing over Christmas?
1. Watching as many bowl games as possible (as the warden will allow). 2. Reviewing game tape and making new training tape of our offense 3. Making highlight tape of this year's juniors for spring recruiting. 4. Getting ready for HC interview

ok what are you doing football wise over the holiday break? me? i need to download some video to google for some recruiting stuff for the kiddoes and then get some video up on the site here 1) Preparing for a clinic talk on the 2-Level defense (started yesterday by interviewing 2LD inventor Dr. John Thomson). The revised playbook will come later, probably March. 2) Drawing up diagrams for a shotgun version of my Wild Bunch offense which includes a half-spin counter series I stole from one of the real single wing gurus out there, Dr. John Ward in NC. 3) Downloading everything new I can get my hands on in the never-ending quest for new ways to do the same old things. 4) Watching the systems that interest me -- Navy, Air Force, Cal, Hawai'i, VA Tech's defense.
