Which off-season clinics do you plan on attending?
This might be a good opportunity to share some clinics you go to (exposure) and provide an opportunity to meet up with fellow cohorts to share ideas...
I plan on attending the
Northern Iowa / Southern Minnesota clinic in Clear Lake,IA (late January)
Nike Clinic in Chicago, IL Feb. 17-Feb. 18,
University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA
Augustana College clinic in Rock Island, IL

Capital of Texas Clinic-Austin
Texas A+M clinic-just in Bryan/College Station, not really put on by A+M, might even have a different name, but usually pretty good

yes....they give a lot of stuff away (Decker sports) and have a lot of free BEER.....wahoooo - what else do you need to know?
Usually it's an early one (remember the snow storms I've been in up there) - soon as I get this year's agenda I'll post it.

We usually try to make it to DFW in the winter and Angelo in the summer.
DFW has a lot of high-school guy speaking, so I really look forward to that one. Plus, being connected to Bass Pro Shops doesn't hurt!!

***Any Minnesota, East North Dakota or Northwest Wisconson coaches: We will be hosting a clinic in Mahnomen, MN at the Shooting Star Casino. It will be March 17 & 18th, starting at 2:00pm on Friday on going through Saturday noon. I will be sending an email to the Minnesota coaches on the Coaches Association list in a couple of weeks when all the speakers have been confirmed.

Hersey Clinic is a great one with 8 speakers going at the same time all in different rooms for an hour a piece. There is something for everyone. Thurs-Sat. The Bears Den is the place to be after the speakers. Also have a great social for the coaches one night.

bingo, kw.........that's the way to go. that's what we do. much easier to get the "whys" and hear all the trials a staff went through developing their scheme. drills & install are more important than just the actual scheme you get from the "clinic talk"

I'm also a big believer in visits. It doesn't have to be a big-name school, either. There are a lot of good coaches at D.2, D.3, JUCO, and NAIA schools.

I think that I am going to spend a couple of days watching North Central College (NCAA D-III) during their spring practice.
I might have to go to the University of Illinois clinic, too. Varsity Gold sponsors an all-you-can eat & drink buffet at Hooter's. ;D

What´s the tip on the Lonestar Clinic? I am gonna get a week off from the Boss(HC)...visit family( re-union) and have my wife meet the people who helped shaped her crazed husband for the first time. Gee, Jet-lag, learning time,getting to know the boys, buy new boots, BBQ and bad beer (no better than German fellas)and my whole family...sounds great I think?
If its a good word I may be there almost 95% sure.
