I was at a school that right after the players went in and everyone was off the field you had about 20 minutes til the game started. This school would always make an announcment about the teams records, welcome the fans to the stadium and thank everyone for beign there. They would then play phil collins in the air tonight. This took about 5-6 minutes. Right after that was done players came back out, did the run ins, then all the other pre game stuff....... Besides in the air tonight, what are some other good songs you could play like that?

I honestly cannot listen to "In the Air Tonight" without thinking of and laughing hysterically about the Mike Tyson "this is my part" in the movie HANGOVER.
I will have to go with Enter Sandman by Metallica. Virginia Tech has been using it for years and it is still one of the best entrances in College Football.

I'm old and sappy but school fight song good enough for me.
Was at a non-athletic event once when my daughter was four or five. National Anthem began and she said, "Dad - they're playing the football song!"

We don't have a big flashy entrance but when they whole team comes out for warm ups we play the Imperial March from Star Wars. People were calling us the evil empire in our league so we decided to run with it LOL

We have been playing "in the air tonight" for over 15 years now in pre-game. It's mellow enough but still pumps the kids up. We also have a couple cool orchestra's songs that do the same. We turn the noisy crap on when we go in and the opponents are still out

We do something that we think is really neat. After we warm up we take our kids back into our weight room that is near the football field. The people who enter the stadium have to walk right by it and I have heard many times that they think it is really cool. Our entrance song is ACDC Thunderstruck. After our last second discussions and adjustments, we have everyone sit or lay on the floor and we start the song "LOUD" in the weightroom. One of my coaches calls the pressbox at the same time and they start it too. So, once our kids get jacked up and are ready to bust out of the weightroom, they take the field with the song playing and the crowd making noise. Our home crowd has learned to get into it also. I think one of the best parts of this is the fact that we do it in our weightroom. All year long we try to sell our kids on the importance of it and it is almost like a culminating event for that. Our kids love it.
We also play music on the field in the pregame so I will include some of the songs here. We are a rural school in southern Oregon so some of the songs are country music (some may not like it, but our kids and fans do). We play some of songs that have been listed above so I won't re-list. Jason Aldean- Hicktown Coheed and Cambria- Welcome Home Ladies and Gentlemen- Saliva Hells Bells- ACDC Remember the Name- Fort Minor Lost Yourself (edited)- Eminem Boys of Fall- Kenny Chesney Headstrong- Trapt Breathe into Me- Red Even people who live around our stadium say they love Friday nights to listen to the pregame music and the Friday Night Lights!
