rock/log rook/lark rose/load
As a player, we ditched the razor/lazer because if the QB audibled, we couldn't tell what he said because of his mouth piece.

For those with musical inclinations...Clown and Joker. From the Steeler's Wheel song "Stuck in the middle"
"Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the Right."

Now THAT is clever, d5085. As a child of the '60s-'70s, I've gotta find a way to use that!

Rope/Lasso, Rip/Liz, Rex/Lee (used Lex but it got confusing in the huddle, so...), Rocket/Lazer, Ram/Lion, Roger/Lucky, Ricky/Lucy, Ray/Larry.
Pro/Con - not R & L, but opposites
Those are just a few I've used in the past.
