We need to find a Junior College for one of our players.
A RB that has all the tools except for the test score and GPA. Also he was hurt during his Jr year so he did have any film for the May recruiting period. Now he has plenty of film to use. If he had the grades he would be a 1A or 1AA player.
If anyone has dealt with a JC that they would recommand please pass it along or PM.
Thanks for helping.

www.northwestms.edu/Good guys to work with. A lot of the players have went Div 1 of recent. Then you have Blinn (powerhouse), Miss Gulf Coast, and Butler County. I'd reccomend any of these.

i will recommend allan hancock college out in california. The staff does a great job, they are one of the best running teams in the state and they do a fantastic job of getting the kids grades up.

Im not sure where you are from coach but there are a number of good JC's here in Arizona. I know a few of the coaches at Mesa CC. Glendale CC is one of the nations best programs. Also if you are in the PA area, try Lackawanna College in Scranton PA

I would also recommend Mesa C.C in Arizona. I've worked with the OC they run a pretty good offense there IMO. Actually there are quite a few good JC's in AZ.

Butler, Blinn, Nassau, NIACC, Tyler, the horde of California JCs, and I believe there is one in Massilion, OH that was a powerhouse for a few years. What part of the country are we talking about? www.njcaa.org/findcollege_region.cfmall colleges associated with the NJCAA

Kilgore Jr College .... The Winningnest Junior College in the state of Texas !
Really, find a juco that will take care of the kid..... academically and athletically. Don't send a big time rb to a school that is a spread team that throws 40 x's a game. Find a school that runs a 2 back or 1 back set ...zone..power scheme... and let him showcase his abilities. Just my 2 cents..

Grand Rapids Community College is a good fit for a RB. They run the heck out of the ball and it is ran like a D1 program with a ex D1 DC from C.M.U. . They have alot of kids from the state of Ohio, Texas, Flordia but mostly are kids from Michigan. Also you might want to look into a Prep school you can get your grades up play quality football and still play 4 years of NCAA football. I played JUCO ball and wish that i went the prep school route.

Totally agree Airirout16 Milford Academy is a football factor located in upstate New York. Also any of the Northeast Football Conference JC's are good this conference includes national powers Erie CC, Nassua CC, Lackawanna CC, and a bunch of other great JUCO programs they are right in you backyard also.

Harper College in Palatine
1) Large school of 25,000 students
2) One of the top transfer programs in the country. Articulation agreements with all top schools in Midwest and most of the country the country. This will be important if you want to transfer to a 4 year school. Illinois Community Colleges are one of the few Community Colleges that have transfer agreements with 4 year institutions.
3) Football program is one of the top winningest programs in the country. Wining seasons 15 of the last 16 years and 2 Non-scholarship national champiuonships in 2003 and 2004.
4) Harper plays in one of the better JUCO conferences int he country (Midwest Football COnfrence). An MFC school as played in the National Divison 1 Championship game 2 of the past 5 years (Won one nation title) and MFC teams have won 3 other Non-scholarship National championships int he past 5 years. ( The top ranked non-scholarship team in the country is declared the national championship.) About half the JUCO footbal program do not offer Scholarships. The MFC is the only non-scholarship JUCO conference that is able to compete for a National championship on a consistent basis.
5) Average of 6 -7 divison 1 players per year. Big plus is that the MAC schools and Big Ten schools like to come to the Illinois Community colleges to get players because they know that it is easy to transfer form an Illinois CC to any 4 year school.
Other schools with similar positives are Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois and Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Both of these school are also in the MFC and have great football programs.

Most of the JC's in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference are very good teams that send a lot of players on to D-I and then to the pros.
