I teach at a school that has three rules that are easy to remember. Be Safe Be Kind Be Independent (from following "the crowd")
I wanted to know if teams have three key points fro each position?
like for QBs Be Quick Be Smart Be Vocal

Blocking Tackling Win Turnover Margin
I actually tell the kids every week "there are only things we need to do to win a football game".

As Alex Karras once said (possibly on "MNF"):
"It takes three things to win a football game...blocking and tackling."

Stick ('em), Lock (on), and Run (your feet).
Works for blocking and tackling.

start fast stay fast get a win today we want to be cut in from the beginning and hit the ground running. no "easing" into anything. let's go we want to continue to play at a high intensity level, high tempo, press the issue. need to have our motors running high at all times. wins are not secured on game nights. they are secured through the efforts we make each and every day to make ourselves better - we preach that we have to "get a win today - so that in october, it is already taken care of." the above has been our motto since I got here.... we have since changed "get a win today" to simply "win the day". so, now it looks like: Start Fast - Stay Fast Win The Day

1. Pursue the ball carrier 2. Swarm the ball carrier 3. Strike the ball carrier
We build that mentality into our defense. We want to be relentless pursuers of the ball.
By being relentless pursuers we will swarm the ball carrier.
Once we swarm the ball carrier we will strike him!

Acronym we use for coaching all positions. These are the things players need to know for each play.

Our Defensive Philosophy can be summarized by the 6 P's
Be Prepared - CASKIR Penetrate - Disrupt offensive scheme Pressure - Force Offense to do what they do worst Pursue - Relentless team pursuit Punish - Create turnovers Points - Score!
