How many HS guys have a Video Coach. By that I mean a guy that only does Video Break down and makes cut ups. I find that I do most of it right now but it takes a lot of time.

I have heard of HS coaches having video guys....they are usually dads.
I am lucky that I teach the video classes at my school and have the pick of the litter for filming games and other things.

Right now we use DSV and actually talked with them on Friday. They have some new features that should be able to same me some time. Right now myself and the other Defensive assistants break down the film on cards and I will go in an lable the types of plays in the DSV. Next year I am going to digitize everything and only use the DSV for my break down. You have do some leg work up front but once it is done the break down goes very fast. I takes me about 40 min to and hour per game. What I am doing now is making CD-ROMs for the kids with video. Now the kids have the tendencies breakdowns on the CD-ROM as well as upwards of 350 plays of video. I break down each type of run and pass and the guys can watch them at home. We were one of the first schools with DSV and they have been awesome. I am not sure if there is ever going to be a quick or easy way to scout, but the tendencies and video cut ups you can do now are great.

The software is around $5600. It depends on what kind of hardware you already having. Basic systems cost around $8,500. More laptops, more servers...the price increases. If anyone wants to go very deep with cut ups and tendency reports DSV is something you should look at. Contact me at bdalbon@dsvusa.com for more info. I could stear you to a rep in your neck of the woods!! Or you can go through my website at www.reelsportsreplay.com
