Just went back and watched the OT TD and the 2 pt conversion.
1. Not that I care about OU, but Zbransky was moving forward in motion on the TD. It was away from the play and did not matter.
2. On the 2pt conversion. Trips on one side, TE on the other. On the trips side there were 5 db's covering. On the TE side a 7 tech, and a Saftey in the box over the Tackle. Can u say (NO EDGE PLAYER!)

Congrats to Boise State. They deserved to win. What a fine job. As you watch the replay a million times the qb will be in motion toward the line of scrimmage a million times. How do zebras miss such obvious penalties?

I am glad that the official kept the flag in his pocket. Let the game be decided by the players!!!

What? Illegal motion is not a penalty? Keep the flag in his pocket?

What? Illegal motion is not a penalty? Keep the flag in his pocket? My thoughts exactly. I'm not too torn up about it, but they did call back OU's second 2-pt. conversion attempt for illegal shift. Luckily for them they made it on the next attempt, but I just find it odd that they'd call that but miss illegal motion just a few plays later.

OU's illegal motion was way too obvious. They CLEARLY had 2 guys moving at the same time without getting set. I didn't notice Zabramskis. I thought that on Petersons first TD run after the accendital touching on the punt, that th emotion guy was moving towards the line. What a game though.

Just throwing this out there, but isn't the line judge right on the line of scrimmage? If he is, then wouldn't it be hard for him to distinguish whether or not Zabransky was technically moving forward when he is moving on a horizontal plane? Granted I have not had the luxury of replay like some of you and I will admit that I was rooting for BSU, but I am just trying to figure out how or why the call was missed.

Was Zabransky moving in forward motion at the time of the snap? I am asking, not trying to make a point. I know to get out of shot-gun to the line he had to go forward.
I don't have a dog in this fight. I could care less about Oklahoma or Boise St, but I think as fan and sometimes as coaches we hope to get a second chance at making the winning play based on a technicality. It wasn't the "forward motion" that caused Oklahoma not to defend the TD. It had nothing to do with the play. Calling that penality is giving a second chance when no advantage was gained by the penalized team. It is the same reason why I hate holding calls that have no effect on a play. Granted, that would make penality too hard to call if they had to be subjective based on how they impact the play. My only point is when complaning about referees, which I believe to be a difficult and thankless job, we should make sure their missed calls really matter, or if we are just looking for a second chance to correct mistakes that players or coaches make.

He was, and so much that he was close to being offsides when the ball was snapped. Would not have mattered anyway due to it being away from the play.

If BSU's QB was moving forward (I haven't seen it for a second time and didn't notice it at the time of the play), I feel a no call is the right thing. I say this because of the horrible PI call that went against BSU on 3rd down and then, on the same drive, the other horrible PI call on the first OU 2pt conversion. The refs tried to make OU winners.
At the end of the day, with bad calls (and no calls) for both sides, BSU OUTPLAYED the sooners and won the game. Case closed.
