Does Anybody know some sites where I can get a good practice clock, cuz my staff and I can't stay on schedule at all. It doesnt have to be fantasy. Just as long as it makes a noise every 5 minutes.thanks

Do a search in the technology section for segment timers. Lots of ideas there.

If you're looking to go redneck chic and make it publicly visible, you just need a crappy laptop, an S-video cable and a used TV, plus about a half-hour of time from a student who got a good mark in gr. 11 computer science. The same principle can be used to make play clock counters, or just about anything of the sort.

$7.00 Kitchen Clock at Walmart or wherever, you can set it in hours, minutes or seconds. We use them for passing league/QB release times as well as practice. Have somebody assigned to the kitchen clock, 5 minute periods on the schedule, blows a air horn or whistle every 5 minutes when the kitchen clock goes off. If your real fancy, you can have a manager flip score board numbers for the period that your on.

Has anyone used this? sites.google.com/site/gunrun73/practicescheduletimer2I was thinking about purchasing the DVD and put it on an ipod and then plug the ipod into the sound board in our PA system on the game field. Our practice field is right behind the game field.

There is an app called Ultra Timer for the iphone. You can customize and save workout segments (including sounds).
We use it in our offseason workouts. It will play a playlist from your ipod and lower the volume to signal the end/start of a period. Great for circuit training.
App only costs a few dollars. What do you have to lose?
