Do you always keep the camera behind your team? What I'm asking is does your camera guy switch ends at the end of the quarters?

We film from the Ramp on the Hill behind our South End zone and Love it. Of course we film Wide Copy too from Booth.

We use a "HighPod" and they just stay on the same side on the endzone the whole game.

Which is better in your opinion the endzone view or the booth view?

no question, endzone.
I never watch our booth tape, I only take it so we have exchange film.

to the op
I like being able to see offense from behind and from the front
when we are looking at the offense coming into the camera you can really get a good look if the ol is looking where they need to be on combos and stuff

We shoot from one endzone, if you get a good camera you can see well enough to the other side. Ours could read a coke can from the other end. Also really important that your camera will adapt and sync with the system you are using for film breakdown. Alot systems like you have a tape type recorder because it will keep track of the time. Otherwise you could spend more time breaking film down .And of course never trade your endzone film its your best look.

RE: We shoot from one endzone, if you get a good camera you can see well enough to the other side.
What is the zoom on the camera? I've always tried to restrict the zoom to the manual zoom.
Where does everyone place the endzone camera - 10 yards off the endline and centered on the goal posts? Any issues with ref's/others on using the camera? I've only seen a couple of these in our area.

Coach we don't go behind the goal posts ,we are about 10' to the side on a sky pod, I am pretty sure we use manual zoom. I am not sure the zoom . We just show up and set everything up. The only time we didn't get the ez shot was at the staduim.Refs don't really say much , we did have one official ask if we were linked to us upstairs at the booth.

we tape only one endzone. we have a local tree trimming company volunteer their time to record it for us. they use their lift truck. so our end zone film is higher then mose hi pods etc.... it is a great view.
