from what I understand they are starting up a new round of clinics using the coaches who have made videos though AFM as the headliners and brining in some local high school and college coaches.

I want to but unless Santa or Uncle Sam are REALLY nice to me I don't see it happening.

Is this something new or did they do it last year? IF they did them last year, how were they? Did anyone go? It sounds pretty good, if you have that much jack to drop on it. Maybe if I pick around the house for some spare change... I found some!!!!

We are considering heading up to the one in KC at the end of the month. Need to do a little research first.

I don't know if the "AFM U" is something 'new' this year (they have touted the "university" thing since 1997), but I know last year they piggy-backed off the Nike Football clinics (sponsored) and featured two clinic speakers versus one another (chalk-talk........"spread offense" speaker vs "defending spread" speaker). I really didn't see the practicallity of it, however. Nothing special (IMO) a clinic is a clinic. They had some good speakers in both Dallas & Baton Rouge last year ( 2007 Baton Rouge notes) ( Gary Pinkel Program building / Baton Rouge 2007)

No, it's not new. We went to the first AFQ University in Forth Worth in 1997, I think. It was great! the best coaches clinic I had ever been to. I think the format has been a constantly changing thing since then, but I was thinking about going to the one in KC.

Does anyone have a schedule of the clinics? This months AFM has a list of the featured speakers and a list of the other speakers, but I can't find a schedule anywhere.

Right now I'm planning on sending my stuff in to attend the KC clinic. I will also be going to the Tulsa, KC, and Dallas Glazier Clinics.

Worth, with the exception of a very long night spent at a gentlemen's club. That was also an important lesson learned on that trip.
