And Griese is so much better....well....except for the pick. Just goes to show don't complain and put a ton of pressure on somebody when you are already winning....or it goes to show that Kyle Orton should be in, or they should resign Henry Burris or pick up Eric Crouch.
BTW, this is one of the most boring ganes I have ever seen.

brophy -
How about your boy Greise last night? He was hardly the second coming of Sid Luckman...
Hell...Maynard was the best Chicago QB last night!

It wouldn't matter if it were Hutchinson, Moreno, Orton, or Mastrole......Grossman just hasn't worked out as the 1st round draft pick...or maybe he has...but those numbers are the facts.

The thing is, what do the Bears do now? Last night wasn't just a loss...it was a humiliating debacle and neither QB played well enough to answer the questions that have been asked all year. If you are Lovie, what do you do in two weeks? Do you stick with Grossman even though Bad Rex made an appearance last night or do you go with Greise? Greise didn't play well last night, but, hey, at least he's not Rex!
Thing about Rex is that there is NO WAY the kid can have any confidence left...I'm sure his teammates and coaches are losing confidence in him, too, no matter how supportive they try to be publicly.
And what happens in the offseason? How many of the current Bears are under contract? Guys like Briggs, Berrien, Jones, etc, etc had big seasons and will be able to cash in big-time with free agency...how many more seasons is Jerry Angelo going to be able to keep the core of the team together?

I think they stay with Grossman b/c when he is hot he is en fuego. But I agree when he is cold...Jimmy Clausen straight out of Oak Christian could do no worse.
What QBs are out there that could help the Bears immediately next season? Matt Shaub from Atlanta? I think they have to make a move for one.

They have committed to Grossman, you have to stay with him.
I am just glad that Griese stunk it up, too. So sick of know-it-alls saying that the Bears would be so much better with him.
The Bears would be much better if they just gave the ball to Jones and Benson all the time.

The Bears, for whatever reason, will always have a good running game, a crappy passing game...and a solid if not spectacular defense.
I think Chicago just wants the '85 bears back.

I was at the Green Bay game last week and during the 3rd quarter I got hungry. I went to the concession stand and ordered a footlong hotdog. The person who took my order asked if I would like cheese on the hotdog. I had no intention of getting cheese when I went there but I said what the heck and got the cheese on it. I returned to my seat and found that they had put quite a bit of cheese on it. I quickly but carefully devoured said cheese dog. I didnt want to get any cheese on my brand new Grossman throwback. Since the game was boring and meaningless I started to check out the crowd around me when I noticed something. The girl sitting in front of me had cheese on her jersey. Then I looked at the girl next to her, again cheese on her jersey and even some in her hair. Then I looked at the guy next to me. There was cheese on his jeans and his shoes. I got up to get another beer and did a stealth check of myself for cheese. I figured that if I could get cheese on 3 other people surely I had cheese on me. Alas not a single drop of processed cheese food could be found on me. We were all Bears fans and all wearing jerseys. However I was the only one wearing a Grossman jersey. This can only mean one thing. Rex Grossman is untouchable.
