My principal ,to my surprise, told me after the season that this spring I ought to take my staff to a college somewhere that runs what we do and spend a week to get some more information. What a great opportunity. I have never been able to do this. I do not care ifs its NAIA or Div 1 I just want to get smarter! My question is, who anymore is a 2 back offense with power/coutner trey as bread and butter anymore. We do run some qb run game and 1 back but always a TE. We throw it about 20 times a game with quick, boot, and sprint game.
Defense we are a 4-3 personal, and run a Eagle front with 4 deep shell. playing quaters, and thirds mostly with some man . We are located smack dab in the middle of the USA. Kansas City. Can drive 12 hours any any direction. Please email me or respond if you have an idea.

if the principal is recommending it....does that mean he is going to expense it? (yahoo!)
Shoot......just look up ANY AND ALL the local colleges and universities in your area.....and just hang out....watch the practices. Those coaches will adopt you, show you around, and give you the shirt off their back.
Terry Allen still at Missouri State? That guy is a GREAT man and teacher.....look him up for some fresh ideas.

How about North Dakota State and North Dakota? I do not keep track of them since my playing days 14 years ago. I see NDS game Minnesota all they wanted this year. What do they run on O and D ??

North Dakota State would be an excellent choice. They run a coaches clinic in the spring where they take the area coaches out on the field for a practice. Coach Bohl has done a fantastic job turning the Bison into one of the top teams in 1-AA, even coming within one point of beating the Gophers.
I haven't seen them play this year, they have been on the road mostly this year. But, I know they run a base 4-3 so you should be able to get some good stuff defensively. Offensively I am not sure.

NDSU runs counter, power, zone. The OC is the son of George Purles (former head coach at Michigan state) he is a great guy.

You've got a ton of colleges in your back yard - Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa, as well as the D-II schools like NW Missouri State (3 time National Champs!) plus the NAIA schools like Benedictine and Missouri Valley. Don't just see one school - go to as many as you can.
