Well my old school is now listed as open on the state association.
So when they hire this poor soul, he will make the 5th head coach since June 1st. So thats 5 head coaches in 7 months.
Anyone ever seen such a situation? Or how about one that was worse?

Wow, I thought we'd been having some issues and next year will be our fourth HC in 8 years. I've never heard of anything even remotely close to what you described.

When I took over in 2007, I was the 4th Head Coach in 4 years. That is quite a bit of turnover as far as Head Coaches go. But airraider, what you've described has got to be unprecedented. That's obviously a place that has some issues that need to be resolved. Administration, parents, overall culture for that matter.

The school has its general problems in terms of lack of parental support... low numbers for football... very spread out rural environment. but all of that is workable. The admin on the other hand is the SOLE reason for the turnover. This will actually be the 6th head coach in 2 years. The guy I took over for only lasted from Sept to Dec under this guy. So 5 coaches have been there in the last 2 years, and I stayed 14 of those 24 months.

I was 1 of 13 faculty members from last year who did not return. Included in that was one of my assistant coaches and the baseball coach. Plus the spring that I got there there were around 6 or so teachers who were there that did not return. They have also lost at the least 1 teacher this school year.

The school I was at was built in 2001, and has had 5 Head Coaches. I am the second Longest Tenured Coach at 2 Seasons. I resigned from the school last year. Our School District has just decided to close the school down, so I see that the problems with the school are not just football, they are about the school in total. Poor Academics, low school support. Parents are now fighting for the school to stay open and they have filed a complaint with the Department of Education (Office of Civil Rights).
