we used to use a tripod hunting stand, 18 ft tall with a platform, chair and rails for around $200-300.

coach,
Thanks for the info, we have used scaffolding for all home games, but we need to have something we can take on the road as well. Our new admin does not want us putting a student 18 feet in the air. The endzone towers will allow us to keep the student on the ground as they tape the end zone shot.

makes since. The one we used had a attached ladder and safety straps on the chair. And we could fold it and take it with us.

jd i just thought of something when we first got our tower from endzone video systems www.endzonevideo.com/they gave us a pretty sweet deal, since we were one of the only 3a schools in the area that wanted one/could afford one he gave us a deal on it, a good deal, since all the other teams in the area then had to keep up with the joneses i don't know how prevalent endzone towers are or this brand is in particular up there in the great white north, but you might be able to get a deal if he thinks he can break into new territory
