Playstation NCAA Football Tournament.
See if there are any charitable foundations in your area. I recently found one in our area and they gave us $82,000. It is a great tax write off for them.
I am currently looking to do a fishing tournament.
Muslingers is great.

Did I read that corrcetly? $82,000?!!!! Why even plan a fishing tourney? When you say a “charitable foundation” are you talking about writing a grant through the foundation to receive the funding? Thanks

Hey guys , thanks for the props...........Anyone interested in ordering the sunglasses for your fundraiser our delivery date is around 1st of August........Keep that in mind when you order..........Also mention you heard it on Coach Hueys site and we will make a donation to this site on your schools behalf..........It will help Coach Huey offset some of the expense in keeping this site growing and free of charge.........Coach will also accept small donations I'm sure, so help out if you can..........

Our jr football program does this. 17 week NFL Season. Get people to donate 20 bucks. Every week they get to pick a team that wins. They can do this through email. If their team wins they move on, if their team loses they are done. At the end of the 17 game season whoever hasn't lost yet gets to split half of the pot with whoever else doesn't lose. The other half of the pot goes to your team. EX: 100 people donate. That would be $2000. Half of that automatically goes to your football team. If there is 2 people left they would split the other half. Each would win 500. You would be amazed at how hard it is to win. If nobody wins football gets 2000. After 3 years the pot is huge. All it takes is word of mouth and some rules!

I just found out I get to do a car wash. Why do you guys have all the fun? $82,000? We'll be lucky to get ten bucks and avoid an insurance claim. I don't even wash my own car *mutter.* What a jip.

I got EXTREMELY lucky with that grant. One of the kids on the football team mentioned that he had some relative that was loaded and had their own foundation. I got him to dig a little deeper and he came to me with the steps for asking for the money. Basically I made a wish list, and I do me wish list, of what I wanted to upgrade the weight room and typed up a letter and about 4 months later bam it was approved. They are not giving us all the money. The way it works is they will give us third of it up front and if we raise a third they will match that third making the grand total $82,000. The sasd thing is that I went after this when I thought I was going to stay at the school and then I got offered a great job at a different school so I won't get to enjoy the upgrades. Oh well, I left the program better then I found it. Happy hunting gentlemen.
