We have been asked to provide a wish list to the AD by the end of this week for next year. Apparently they found some substantial $$$ and their are going to be some purchases made.
What are some things that you would ask for if you had this opportunity. A couple of ours were a 2 man sled and a tackling sled. I also wouldn't mind looking into a Prowler. Does anyone use one for conditioning. If so, where did you get it and how much was it.

I'd look to the weight room first, player equipment upgrades second, on-field equipment third.

Sleds are a waste. Too unrealistic for anything other than takeoff drills and you can use kids with hand shields for those. I would look at weight room upgrades and speed and agility equipment upgrades. If you have enough money then HUDL.

I like the HUDL idea or Apex/DVS. One of those Skyhawk-type end zone cameras would be nice. Lot to be said for a clinic in Vegas or maybe the U. of Hawaii.
How about budgeting some money to pay a video coordinator to film and OCD film?

Thanks for the input on sleds. We have a video guy, and as far as the end zone camera....we have the ability now to film with a scissor lift, but we don't (HC thinks it's not needed).
Being as we are small school, I like the idea of weight room first. That is why I was curios about the Prowler. One of our wrestlers used one at a private trainer and said it kicked his a$$.

One of our asst. coaches is a construction guy, he built one for much cheaper than what they'll charge. Even put hard plastic skids on it so we can use it on our rubberized floor and it'll slide nicely. Just a thought.
