That is almost worth the risk of trying to have someone dive for the ball than to give up that much field position. It was over a minute play.

That looks like the old school turf, the stuff that feels like carpet, Im sure that helped with the balls roll

I coached for the winning team in that game and there were gusts up to 50-60 mph. It wasnt much fun. it was regular field turf that is probably 8-10 years old by now

Maybe I'm being ignorant here, but if that ball traveled 10 yards, then blew backwards, couldn't the kicking team catch it and be awarded possession?

Maybe I'm being ignorant here, but if that ball traveled 10 yards, then blew backwards, couldn't the kicking team catch it and be awarded possession? It would actually have to make contact with a player or the ground beyond 10 yards.. unless the return team made contact with it first.
