Sadly, the semi-informed have been reinforced by this guy. THIS is a big deal. Not necessarily informed from D1 alumni, but from various sources (video games, espn talking heads attempting to serve two masters, scouts inc. etc) and NOT just football but in many walks of life (I have a prosecutor friend who says it is much harder now because juries are looking for CSI evidence like the TV show. ) It is truly sad that we have developed such a distrust for EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING except the idiot box.

Oh man, 5085 you beat me to it. I wanted to post that video, I'm just too slow. However, this guy said something that is very true about the Shotgun Spead offense. You HAVE to have certain things to make it work, if you don't have those certain things don't run the Spread. The rest of it was just like the Billy Madison clip.

"I developed an acronym.....it's probably not even something that I thought of. But I use it when I coach"

I can't believe this is real. He has to be doing this as a joke. That second video does not make any sense. The Billy Madison clip sums it up perfectly, and he could be in the movie Idiocracy. My favorite part is: "CODE. I'm not the first guy to do it, and it's probably not even something that I thought of. But I use it when I coach." If this guy really does coach, imagine how confused his players have to be.

note to self: wheel routes = gone

"You cannot play man to man against a spread team, you have to play zone."
Wrong, we've done it, have video I can dig up and send him too. Not only did we play man to man but we had INTs galore that game because that spread team had never faced man coverage before. Probably because Coach Rudy taught those teams how to defend spread.

Well at least "Big 10 Alumni" got the Wheel route right. Sorta...
Who did they have for security at that facility, Paul Blart?
