Did anyone catch this? I turned on ESPN, and caught the end of it. He is suppose to be on part 2 tonight, but I don't see it. I think it is on sports center.
Anyone know anything about it?

I know it's a bit different since I am sure they were following Gruden around but it seems like the whole coverage of high school sports is getting a bit crazy. I saw a 7-7 tourney on ESPN the other night, I mean I love football but watching 7-7 was about as exciting as watching paint dry.

He is the OC of the team his son plays on. He also coaches the OL.
It was for Sportscenter.

Any chance they will re-air the first episode? I would imagine it will be on a few more times. They showed his College QB Camp multiple times leading up to the draft.

He's not the OC, he's assisting with the Oline. He's at his son's private school-Carrollwood Day in Tampa. The kid is not very tall but as tough as a lightered knot and will be this year's QB, last year he was MLB. I caught a couple of their games this past year.
The school is Carrollwood Day, Coach Gruden attends the games and roves the sidelines. The HC and I are friends and I joke with him all the time about the pressure he is under calling plays with John Gruden a few feet away, but he doesn't seem to mind. Very unique school and football field, absolutely beautiful location on a lake in a wooded area. The HC is a great guy and has coached in Tampa for a long time, he also started the program.
Since I'm retired (temporarily?) I'm going to have time to go down there and visit when I can.

He had them leading with the helmet and facemask yesterday.... Just sayin. Is that wrong? Do you not give your offensive linemen aiming points for their helmet?

I know that Coach Gruden has a rep, particularly in the Tampa Bay area as a real jerk, which may be true in his NFL dealings.
However, whenever it comes to his son and this little school program he could not be any more gracious. My school (ex) and Carrollwood Day are in the same conference so we've been around Coach Gruden several times. He came to our little field a season ago and was charming. Let just about everybody take a picture with him, etc, it was one one of the biggest events that year in our town. I could say more, but no need for that.
He's "helping out" so I don't know how available he will be with hit ESPN stuff starts happening. As far as I know, in the last 2 years he's been at every one of his son's games. I might be wrong, but I think I remember the HC telling me that.

What kind of jerk reputation has he developed there? I had always thought he was the furthest thing from a jerk but thats from a far.

Don't want to say or do anything that will get this post locked, hope this won't do it. Although my personal experience with Coach Gruden has been exceptional, as I was named one the Bucs "coach of the week" recipiants in 2008, according to news reporter, radio personalities and the such like, he was not well thought of.
While I'm sure this is a problem that most men in high position are often accused of, even during his Superbowl year Coach Gruden wasn't considered a person of his word and a guy that was less than honest in his dealing with players and the press. I'm not saying this was true, I don't know this personally-just saying what has been a constant topic and commnet since he was with the Bucs.
Hope this thread doesn't turn into something negative, that isn't my point, just answering a question.
