I am not familiar with a defensive call sheet. Is it the other teams offensive tendancies according to down and distance or other? Would like to help, but what would you put on this call sheet?

We use a Defensive Call sheet. It's really more of a Ready List then a Call Sheet per se. It lists what Fronts we intend to use for this game, what stunts & covers coordinate with the front. It is color coded to make it easy to identify. Usually against "Quality" opponents our defense gets called according to the offensive formation. The sheet will also list personnel for the specials,ie punt return punt block goaling & prevent.
What I do is make my offensive call sheet & defensive call sheet place them back to back & laminate them together. I then make copies for all my coaches so we are all on the same page. I simply do this off Excell which allows me to use colors. I then print it on card stock so when I laminate it becomes fairly stiff.

It's basically the opposite of the offensive call sheet, given certain situations, what do you want to call. You might even be able to use the offense's sheet

mhcoach,
I like how you use your Defensive Call Sheet where it's more of a ready list! That is more along the lines of how I will create my call sheet.
