We have one in WA at the end of June. It's for Seniors only. We don't get a lot of D1 recruits playing because they report in early July for their bridge programs.
Would you encourage one of your graduating players who was going to the next level on a D1 or DII scoly to play in an All Star game in late June?
The game is ussually like most football All Star Games; boring. The players and coaches have fun together.

I was fortunate to be selected to coach in last years KS Shrine Bowl, and I would encourage one of my players to play because the Shrine Bowl is about so much more than the All-Star game.

Yes, I always encourage our players to participate in these All-Star events. Many times these games bring kids together with players and coaches that give them a different perspective. I know what you are asking about, though, which is the injury factor. Maybe I am sticking my head in the sand but I refuse to be scared of our game that we coach.

Its not the kid that will be the problem. It'll be the school he signs with.
Most won't let them play that late.

Most of the scholly guys who would play in our All-Star game have been told not to play by their schools (Stanford, USC, Cal). Though San Jose State hasn't had a problem with them playing. Even the walk-ons for Stanford have been told not to play. And I don't know what your All-Star games have been like, but ours have been nail-biters. The one I coached in 2007 came down to the final minute. I'm back in it again this year, and I hope its the same.
