I’m certain this has been posted before, so let me start by apologizing for this repost. I can’t get the “search” function to work properly. Here it goes…
Our HC came to all of us and asked for individual equipment "wish lists” for our individual periods. There are things I want like…barrels and cigar dummies for my Indy O-line time, so they will obviously be on the list. What I’m wondering is…
What would be on your wish list for your Individual Periods (other than more time and better athletes)?

Cigar dummies are the worst thing you can buy. IMO. B/C they don't simulate blocking a live person. I prefer the stunt sheild, because when held against a live body, you can provide a landmark, hand placement and resistance/movement.

I would kill ( figuratively) for a youth 7 man sled - we had one donated, to us but another team claimed it before we could get there ....BASTIDS!

Maybe not necessarily an indy period (though certainly during film review we break down and split up into O/D/ST)
A brand viewing station completely with all the works
indy period wise more shields, tees, and another 5-man sled

i am happy with most of the stuff we have... A lot of it has been purchased over the years so for a very poor school we actually have a lot. 1,2, and 5 man sleds...bags, a couple rubber boards. We also have a chute but it is very small.
My biggest wishlist stuff comes for film... I would love to get an endzone camera, DVD duplicator, and a video projector for film review.
As far as indy stuff goes, i would love to get a new 5 man sled, so the JV and frosh could have one to themselves, i want them getting a lot of sled time at the lower levels.
some of our bags are starting to rip so some more would be nice.
ive always wanted a pop up bag. and although i dont use the rubber boards too much, i plan on doing some more dirll work with them so i would like to have 1 or 2 more

Like coach previously mentioned, we are pretty well taken care of for a "poor" school. Does a fieldhouse count, though?
I am interested in why everyone wants a sled? I am young an dumb, and don't coach linemen, but in our program we rarely use a 5-man sled. We use a two-man sled most days to work on striking and explosion, but rarely the 5-man.

But I love using them because you cant drive the sled without staying low (good leverage) and driving the feet. I think it helped us a ton this year with driving our feet with good pad level til the whistle blew

2 Man Pan Sled. I like to use them as a one man sled to learn to control movement when it turns on you and it develops great legs and hips.

Over here we don't get access to sleds etc as the cost of shipping them is prohibitive. My greatest pickup was a set of 5 rubber boards donated by a visiting coach one time. Naturally we make use of hand held dummies etc. and have become better at improvising to create chutes. We wish we had access to sleds, no doubt.

We had to make our own footballs this year from a couple of the HC's calves and I don't mean his legs either. Man, was that depressing. The had to harvest the sugar cane early just so we could have a "field". It didn't have yard lines, per se, it just had the rows of cane stalks every 3 or 4 feet. First downs were kind of subjective.
