Well, lets have some fun today. What would you have the best chance of doing successfully vs an average NFL team?

This is kinda one of those, how good an athlete do you think you are? I mean, I flat school my middle schoolers running the option, so put a great FB like Tony Richardson in front of me and I think I could get 4 yards on a dive (if its a toss I may lose 4).
If I was gonna complete a stop, the DB would have to bail hard....
Catching a slant? Catching it..Yup...Holding on when a Mike LB lays me out...maybe...

Sorry, cant modify polls, or I would have. The four yard gain is running the ball, in case it wasnt clear.

I have to go with making an open field tackle because I might get lucky and trip him up.

Well, if its the Lions or Browns, then all of them ... otherwise none of them

The only one I could see is running for 4 yds. This is hoping the NFL playes on my team do the job and I have a clear path for 4 yds before I get knocked out.

I could probably throw the hitch, but i think i would actually dislocate my arm and it would travel further than the ball.

Catching a stop route against off coverage.

Having not put pads on since I was 19 I would say my best shot would be to try the tackle. And by tackle I mean dive at his ankles and flail my body around hoping to trip the rb up. Does that count as a tackle?

I had to go with making an open field tackle. I have a slight chance of doing that since I'm short and very slow. At the speed an NFL player moves, he may not see me in time and just run me over, trip and fall.

well, it used to be catching a slant but not anymore.
And I used to be able to pass - so maybe the stop vs. prevent coverage -
maybe pass blocking once against a DE - might be able to get a hold for a sec - then cut block and then run off the field as fast as I could.

If I was playing wide receiver, they would line up in press coverage and pile drive me on the snap, so I'll go with complete a stop route.
I can still throw it a little.
Dang sure don't see myself making an open field tackle.

none really but if i gotta pick im gonna say throwing the stop... Im too unathletic to do the all the bottom ones, and i cant kick at all i can throw a spiral though, so that makes me more qualified to throw a stop than any other category available its all timing, i just gotta throw it as soon as i take the snap, by the time the ball gets there the WR will be coming out of his break

Alot of it depends on the talent I have around me.
If Dan Marino is throwing it, the slant might work.
If Jerry Rice is catching it, I might be able to throw a stop route (while rolling out to the boundary).
I think given a subset of 50 carries behind Larry Allen, I could yield 1 four yard run.
I could have 1,000 kicks with no one around me and not be able to hit a 30 yard FG.

Very little chance of any of these, but maybe a quick slant to our slot.

Before I read the posts I said gain 4 yards. Catch a screen on 3rd and 19.

Used to kick FG's in HS, so I hope I could get it up there from the 20 yard line still...

Making a tackle because I could just grab his shoe and hold on for dear life. No way I'm trying to form tackle an NFL player.
And saying that here makes me realize why most of our players dive at feet.....you learn something every day!
