It was great - I really enjoyed presenting and I got pretty good feedback. Of course, I won't really know until I talk with the Glazier folks and find out what the eval forms say (people who like you come talk to you, but the ones that hate you just fill out the eval and leave). It was a lot of fun and I talked with a lot of coaches between sessions and shared info & stories - much moreso than I have when I've just gone to clinics as an attendee.
Coach Stauffer and Manster introduced themselves to me, and a few others indicated by a show of hands that they come here to Coach Huey. I promoted this forum in every session I did, so maybe we'll see some new posters here soon. I was hoping and expecting to see Ayinde Bomani and Eickst, but they never introduced themselves to me - at least, if they did, they didn't mention their usernames here.
I only wish I could have had some more time to prepare - just doing the video cutups was an enormous task, so I didn't get a chance to make any powerpoints or anything like that. Now that I've done this once, though, I should be able to reuse the video and can concentrate on adding things like Powerpoints in the future (assuming I'm ever invited back to do something like this again). In the future I would also like to make DVDs just with my presentation outlines, notes, handouts, etc. and the videos and make them available to all the participants so that they don't have to try to take notes as fast as I talk.
All in all, it was a great experience and I hope I get to do it again.

Sounds like a great experience. I agree handouts/dvds are a nice touch but most don't provide them. Are you still planning on moving to AZ? If so, are you going make the Glaziers in April?

Yes, we are moving to Tucson this coming weekend. I should be settled there sometime next week. Haven't made plans for the Phoenix Glazier clinic yet - we'll have to play that one by ear and see how I'm doing with getting settled and all, but I would love to go. I'm hoping to have my coaching situation for next year all set by then - if so, then I'll try to take my new staff with me. I know that's pretty unlikely to actually happen, but I'll try - you never know.

After getting settled in let me know when you can come up to visit our program. We'll have spring ball starting in May but are having coaches meetings every two weeks to get a few of our new coaches up to speed in the system. Also, if your going to get a team for the fall, something to consider is our summer passing league, we will have between 24-32 teams this summer, freshmen teams with a few midget (7-8th) grade teams in it. We have 4 weeks (Saturdays) of competition with the last weekend being a championship tournament.

He's right it was a good clinic, I wish they would have had a few more youth topics. Saw Coach Medina from Cascia Hall High School in , Tulsa, OK. This coach was 41-0 the past 3 years with 3 straight State Trophies. He had a horrible year the year before with a 11-1 record with the one loss on a block punt. This cat is 52-1 the past 4 years. That is some mad game. I listened to a bunch of spread stuff, and general organizational stuff. Looking forward to next year.
