We are currently putting together a Lift-a-thon for our Strength and Conditioning Program in a month. (All Off-season athletes, not just football)
I want to send out a letter to as many people as possible in the community to let them know about it and ways to donate.
I'm just curious if anyone of you out there have one of these Letters saved somewhere that I can look at?
Any help would be greatly apprectiated

Sell Pizza in front of the main door at then end of school. If you time it right, the smell wafts just as everyone gets out of class. We did this twice a week and sold 8 pizzas, 8 slices each for 2$ a slice (1$ for cost, 1$ for profit). You can probably strike a deal with the pizza place for cheap pizzas.

The List must be from your players to someone they know (personalize). Sending out a letter to ask people to donate will get 0.We ask each player to hand in alist of 10 names with relatives, family friends, doctors, dentists, lawyers, mechanics etc. We also tell them to put names of people they know outside the local area, like uncle joe who lives in Alaska. These folks often donate because they rarely see little joey & feel compelled to send something. We do this every year & have raised between 5-7, 000 each year from an average of 70 players.

Two football moms approached me this week about doing a unique fundraiser. They want to sell reserved seating for varsity home games. We have 4 home games on our schedule next fall. They want to charge $100 ($25/game) which would get 2 reserved seats. On game day, they would go and tape "RESERVED FOR SO-AND-SO" signs on the appropriate seats. The moms are going to approach the administration with the idea.
Has anyone done anything like this? If so, how successful was it?
We are wanting to use the money for sideline jackets for the players.
By the way, yes, I do realize how fortunate I am to have incredible parents like this who support our program.

One guy I worked for said he coached in a state championship program and they had a "Dad's Den" on the field that the dads could buy spots in to watch the game from the field. He said they charged $500 and a lot of dads bought seats.
I think you would have to be pretty good to get $500 dollars from someone.
