We are wanting to have the facility to have coaches/players view film online at home as part of our program. We ultimately would like a secure environment so we can make more detailed cut-ups critquing opponents, but also establishing our gameplans. I have had a look at hudl, but our budget can't fit that. Are there any other suggestions? We could use things like Youtube etc. but we would rather a more private/restricted setup.
With only 4 hours practice time a week, we look for any way to upskill the guys in the easiest, time-friendly and cost-effective manner.

Coach- You won't find anything cheaper and more effective than Hudl. $800 is their cheapest package, and we feel liek it has helped us leaps and bounds to do exactly what you are looking for. Last year we threw together a small fundraiser just to buy it. This year we are hoping our Booster Club will pay the bill. Cheap compared to other products out there.

Thanks coachplaa. I guess cheap is all relative. We may just have to make do with other options.

Coach
Watchgamefilm.com is something I use for a team I work with. It only costs $99 and would allow you to coach your players via the net.
I have worked with these guys for two years now and they are great guys and always have the time to talk with me about an issue that might have arisen on my end.
If you want to know more pm me.

As you coach in a non scholastic environment (Australia, right?) I guess I know pretty well your concern (I coach in France), regarding general football knowledge, practice time etc.. Our webmaster put game film and any document we want on a server. That allows players (with their email and a login) to watch game film or anything. It's way less sexy than huddle but it doesn't cost a penny. I'm not a geek so I can explain how it works exactly. PM me if you want more info.
