Does anyone have a link, or for that matter their own analysis, on the 'Bama-Florida SEC Championship game? From any perspective: 'Bama offense, 'Bama defense, Florida offense or Florida defense...I'm looking for opinions on the X's and O's from the game. Thanks.

I was hoping to read a certain blog (hint, hint, wink, wink Brophy) post about the Bama defense against the Gators offense...

I was there, watched the replay.
Alabama did what they do on offense. Inside zone, outside zone. The difference was that they got big plays in the passing game. Early in the game they completed what looked like the Air Raid Y Cross a couple times for big gainers.
Bama is pretty simple when it comes to the passing game though. The two biggest plays came off a running back delay screen and a simple hitch route where the wide receiver broke the tackle of a corner in man coverage.
Something interesting on the battle of Bama "D" versus Florida "O" was that it seemed that most of the pressure came from the middle. McClain and Reamer both MLB's were sent up the middle several times. There was a really good stunt where the DE (Upshaw) stunted into one of the A gaps and came unblocked.
Alabama's defensive lineman were also coached all week to not rush past Tebow and keep him in front. There were situations where they were all out rushing, but in most cases they were bull rushing and waiting for Tebow to step up or scramble.

I watched the game and have it on DVR. Alabama was the better team. They ran the ball and they threw the ball. The announcers seem surprised that Bama came out in some gun and threw the ball instead of being predictable with the run and one-dimensional. McElroy went to hs in Southlake Carroll in TX, and is used to being in a gun system throwing the ball. Florida abandoned the run game too early in my opinion and relied too much on Tebow throwing the ball. Tebow doesn't quite have the playmakers around him that he had a year ago.

It pretty much shows how Gary Danielson doesn't do his homework.
Alabama has been in the gun or pistol quite a bit this year. That CBS crew did the LSU game in which Bama threw the ball 26 times in the first half versus LSU. They also freaked out when Bama was in a 4 man line. If you have watched Saban at all you know that Bama is rarely in a basic 3-4 with 4 stand up linebackers.
