If Hueys had a "XS AND OS COACH OF THE YEAR"
here would be my nominees, guys that post stuff I like to read and generally can relate to and learn from.
....and the nominees are....with respect...
1) fbdoc- the stories, the knowledge, the professionalism, the experience and the wisdom, its all there.
2) dcohio- hit em right between the eyes, no sugar coating anyting, would probably make a billion as a reality tv star "DCOHIO"- and Oh, he knows a little something about coaching defense.
3)senatorblutarsky- always chimes in at just the right time with just the right things to say and doesnt waste posts or words. Great wisdom as well.
There are others but these are the top 3 for me.

The 3 guys that I always like to hear from in posts are Coach Huey, outlawjoseywales, and tog. Just pure common sense, in my opinion. Many more though that I love to have conversations with. There is always something you can learn or improve on in your coaching, and this board provides the perfect setup for that. Luke

All those guys mentioned, along with Spreadattack. Where would we be without Chris and his amazing website?

Brophy has some of the funniest posts on this site...
And everytime i read one it really gets me thinking afterwards. He posts excellent questions that usually get a ton of feedback/input from the other coaches on the board
Tog would also be near the top for me

I've learned the most from CoachD5085, NYDC, DCOHIO, spreadattack, brophy, duece, cqmiller, capnmcrea, brophy, tog, ojw, duece..couldn't pick a winner..they all contribute in different ways....i don't know how to say this w/o sounding like an idiot...but IMHO brophy's postings this year seem to have taken on another level because of his website..more exacting, careful and thoughtful..really liked the post about the levels of competetion..made me a better coach right there

I have to say everytime I see Dcohio, Brophy, outlawjoseywales, and touchdownmaker in a thread I read it no matter what thread it is.

So many to learn from
Airriader and touchdownmaker who I really appreciate chronicling the past few seasons for all to see the trials and tribulations of a new coach in less then stellar situations. Everyone wants to coach tim tebow at florida. It takes a much different style to coach tiny tim at east tacoma prep.
fbdoc for giving calm measured advice.
OJW and tedseay for historical background info.
tog/huey for direct decisive posts.

ME! Heh...
Honestly, I find myself trying to measure up to so many of the posters here as I type out my replies/etc. It's not uncommon to find myself thinking "Is this the kind of response that (Brophy/DCohio/Tog/OJW/CQMiller/TDM/Phantom would make?" and it's not because I want to sound smart or impress them, but because I can tell these guys (and MANY MANY others) are doing it the right way and I want to start thinking and seeing and acting like them as much as I can.
Talk all you want about the X's and O's of the site, for me there's just as much to learn from the MODELING of how to be a coach, even in this setting.
Many thanks to all those who've made this place possible, God Bless! ;D

Brophy, TOG, OJW, and all the others listed above I completely agree with. Brophy makes me fall down sometimes when I see his posts. Some of the ones where he only responds with a picture are priceless!
I really enjoy hearing all the ideas from everyone on here. Let's keep this the best football site there is!
