I am in need of a masters quickly. What have you guys found to be the easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to get there. Looking for a legit masters from an accredited institution. Not afraid of doing the work, just under a time crunch, 18 mo or so while coaching and working. Any thoughts?

I received mine through University of Phoenix and it took me 19 months and I did it as slow as you can. I took one class at a time and I took a 4 week break because I was getting burnt out.
I thought the classes were easy it was just all the busy work they kept giving us to do, on top of teaching my own classes and coaching 2 sports, having a family and a life.
I did it and am glad to be done with it. If you take 2 classes at a time you can probably finish in 1 calender year.

I'll second Peru State College. I will graduate from there this semester. You can go as fast or as slow as you want. I would load up on classes in the spring, summer, and winter while only taking one during football in the fall. EVERYTHING is online; I never had to meet once. One thing I did that I'd suggest: Get a buddy or two to go in with you. Me and two of my friends would work on our projects/papers on the weekends and crank them out. I don't know, it worked for us... Here's the link: www.peru.edu--48--

School districts in Kansas have begun to require that a Master's be in a teacher's licensed area or they won't move the teacher on the salary schedule.

I recieved mine from the University of West Alabama online. This is probably one of the cheapest options in the nation and it is fully accredited. The program is offers four quarters as well as a summer term. The cost is $380 per credit hour. To keep up with accreditation, you now have to buy a remote proctor in order to be monitored to take exams. Here is the link: www.uwa.edu/academics/onlineprogramsIf anymore information is needed just let me know.

Not the cheapest, but I did mine through University of Phoenix Online and it took under 18 months.
People used to look at it as a shoddy piece of paper, but now it seems to be the way to go for some of the best learning. When I did it back in 2002-04 it was a fairly new concept, however, the discussion sessions (like a proboard) and the other activities really caused me to learn a lot. All of the communication is done online so I think it allows one to internalize their thoughts through an online collaboration, just like this site does.

I am sure it is more expensive now but it was a great program...
Now I teach at the HS and also at the local JC and make great money on the part-time JC job...
